Summit Session Preview: Leadership and Culture

National Comfort Institute’s (NCI) 2026 High-Performance HVAC™ Summit is coming this September. You can get all the details at gotosummit.com, reserve your spot at the NCI Summit registration site, and book your rooms at Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort, September 1-3, 2026.
Here are the details on two of the 13 scheduled Summit sessions:

First, High-Performance HVAC Begins with Leadership is being led by Contractor Anthony Woo, Co-founder of Climatisation ACG, Quebec, Canada.
In this session, Woo will discuss how High-Performance HVAC™ doesn’t begin with better equipment or more training — it begins with leadership.
Learn practical steps he and his team took to turn high-performance concepts into everyday operational standards.

Ken Beasley, founder and owner of Mission Critical Comfort Solutions in Kathleen, GA, will share “How to Change
Culture and Build a High-Performance Team.”
He will share how he and his team are in the process of changing the company’s focus by developing a system approach that improves culture while delivering High-Performance HVAC work to customers.
Ken will describe lessons he learned from rebuilding an HVAC company plagued by callbacks, technician turnover, and inconsistent performance.

Customer Care that Meets Contractors Where They Are

National Comfort Institute’s (NCI) Nick Guarino, director of sales and operations, announced new efforts to help the Customer Care Team build stronger relationships and better help contractors with the right support at the right time.
“This means properly aligning ourselves to what contractors need,” he explains. “Some businesses are building the foundation — testing, sales, and technician development.

“Others focus on sharpening execution and raising the bar across the board. Either way, the right support starts with understanding where customers are and helping them get where they want to go.”
NCI recently onboarded a new member of its Customer Care Team. His name is Victor Pocasangre, and he works from NCI’s Southern California location.
“Victor is surrounded by NCI classes, instructors, students, and everyday contractor interaction. This is exactly the kind of exposure that helps someone learn fast and support customers better,” Guarino says.
Please join us in welcoming Victor to NCI. He is now part of NCI’s Customer Care Team. Call our help line at 800/833-7058.
It’s Time For Summer On-Site Training
Summer is always super busy for most HVAC contractors, but it can also be a smart time to strengthen the skills and processes that support better field performance. For companies focused on High-Performance HVAC™, on-site training gives teams a practical way to sharpen technical abilities, stay aligned, and improve consistency where it matters most.

Unlike off-site classes, on-site training is tailored to your schedule, facility, and company’s priorities. Contractors can use these sessions for standard certification training or tailor them to support new services, new processes, and company-wide standards.
Here are a few of the key advantages:
- Flexible scheduling and content that fit your goals, your team, and the challenges you are facing right now
- Group format can reduce travel costs and make training, certification, or recertification more efficient
- More direct access to instructors
- Training delivered at your facility or a nearby location, with less disruption to daily operations
- Certification and continuing education opportunities, including NATE, BPI, and state CEUs where available.
If you want to improve technical consistency, speed up implementation, and keep your team aligned during the busiest part of the year, summer on-site training is worth a closer look.
