A Company Evolving with Purpose
What stands out most to me about Widenmann’s remarks on Daikin today is the clarity of its purpose. While technology, controls, refrigerants, and market strategies all play major roles, they’re anchored in a deep cultural commitment to people, process, and societal value.
As he explained, “Every day, to the best of our ability, we complete actions that support our long-term goals. That’s how we grow as a business and as people.”
It’s been almost a decade since our last deep profile of Daikin. What we found this time is a company that has evolved dramatically — strategically, culturally, and technologically.
But also, it is a company more aligned than ever with the needs of High-Performance HVACTM contractors, the demands of modern consumers, and the responsibilities of a sustainable future.
And as the industry moves into a new era of electrification, inverterization, and performance-based value, Daikin intends not just to participate — but to lead.
