There Might Be A Problem With This…

Here is a picture of a wye fitting that has been severely modified on an install for a HVAC system in a new house (1 year old). We are often removing duct systems in brand new homes due to poor workmanship and undersized. I really like the tape they put over the end of it to slow the air down because the damper wouldn’t work.
